AT-N07V3V3-F

AT-N07V3V3-F, PVC Insulated PVC Sheathed Heavy Duty Flexible Cord

AT-N07V3V3-F is the Austrian heavy duty cord: a class 5 copper conductor under PVC insulation and a PVC sheath, made to OVE/ONORM E8242 and rated 450/750V for -35°C to +90°C. Both the V3 marks are cold grade PVC, which is why the cable still bends at -35°C instead of cracking the way an ordinary PVC cord does at that temperature. The cable carries TUV approval alongside the Austrian OVE/ONORM E8242 certificate, which is what lets an Austrian buyer put it on a tender that also asks for an independent European test house. It comes in three, four and five cores from 1.0 mm² to 4.0 mm², bare or tinned conductor, with overall diameters running from 9.5 mm on 3G1.0 to 17.7 mm on 5G4.0. Austrian site practice uses this type where an H07RN-F would be the European choice, because the local wiring rules and the trade counter both know the N07V3V3-F name. The PVC sheath wipes clean, resists oil and weather, and the cable is flame retardant to EN 60332-1-2. Sheath colour is made to order, and the yellow used for site cable is the usual request. Copper and sheath compound are RoHS and REACH compliant, and lengths, core colours and printed legends can be customized.

Frequently Asked Questions

Common questions about this flexible power cable

The N replaces the H of a harmonized European type and marks the cable as built to a national standard instead of an EN 50525 section. For AT-N07V3V3-F that national standard is OVE/ONORM E8242, the Austrian rule for heavy duty PVC cords. The 07 is the 450/750V voltage class and the -F is the class 5 flexible conductor, so only the first letter and the two V3 marks differ from an H07VV-F.

One belongs to the insulation and one to the sheath. Both say the compound is cold grade PVC, which is what lets the cable stay flexible down to -35°C. A plain H07VV-F uses ordinary PVC and is normally only rated to -25°C or -30°C, so the second V3 is the whole point of this type in Austrian winter work.

Functionally yes, on a site where the two are used for the same portable tools and distribution boards, but the materials are not the same. H07RN-F is rubber insulated and rubber sheathed and carries the harmonized EN 50525-2-21 approval. AT-N07V3V3-F is PVC throughout and carries the Austrian national approval. It cannot be sold as an H07RN-F and the certificates do not transfer between them.

Three, four and five cores in 1.0 mm², 1.5 mm², 2.5 mm² and 4.0 mm². Overall diameter runs from 9.5 mm for 3G1.0 to 17.7 mm for 5G4.0. Both bare and tinned class 5 conductors are made to the same dimensions, and the maximum conductor resistance at 20°C is 19.5 Ω/km for 1.0 mm² down to 4.95 Ω/km for 4.0 mm².

Yes. The sheath can be run in the yellow normally used for Austrian site cable, in black, or to a sample, and the surface can carry your own type text, metre marks and approval numbers. Minimum quantities apply to non-standard colours, and we quote the lead time with the sample.
