This is the third shell we mould for the 30 amp RV surge adapter: NEMA TT-30P plug, NEMA TT-30R receptacle, 30A 125V, 3,750W, UL 817. The electrical part does not change between the A, B and C shells, and neither does the certification.
Orders are usually placed against a shell because of how the adapter sits at the pedestal or how it packs. Where the trailer inlet is a locking type, look at the NEMA TT-30P to NEMA L5-30R adapter or the NEMA TT-30P to NEMA L14-30R adapter instead.
Inline between a 30A RV pedestal receptacle and a 30 amp trailer cord, or as the adapter on a camper van, food trailer or work trailer with a NEMA TT-30P shore cord. Nothing else is needed to install it.
If you run the same site every season, replace the pedestal receptacle when the blades feel loose. Adapters are cheaper than the trailer cord end they protect.
Shells A, B and C are not interchangeable in the same retail box. Confirm the shell letter when you place the order.
Common questions about NEMA TT-30P to NEMA TT-30R RV surge adapters
Yes. The certified part is the electrical assembly, which is identical across the three shells: UL 817 cord set standard, UL and cULus listing, RoHS and REACH compliant materials.
Send a photo of the adapter you are replacing, or the shell letter from your last order, and we will match it. If you are starting fresh, ask for photos of the three shells and pick the one that suits your pedestal box or your packaging.
Those fittings belong to the versions with the indicator, which cover six of the thirty amp combinations. There is no indicator version of the plain NEMA TT-30P to NEMA TT-30R adapter, so a covered or indicator build for this model is a custom run. Tell us the quantity and we will quote it.
Mainly the United States and Canada, which is what the UL and cULus listing supports. The same model ships to other markets where the NEMA TT-30 standard is used for RV shore power.
