Inline surge protection in the adapter body, so the pedestal joint is protected without a separate device on the cord.

This is the 50 amp member of the range: a NEMA 14-50P plug on the pedestal side and a NEMA 14-50R receptacle for the motorhome cord. It is the same four-wire 125/250V interface used on modern dryers, electric ranges and EV outlets, but this one carries UL 817 surge protection in between.
50A service gives the coach 12,000W at 240V, split into two 120V legs, which is what a residential refrigerator, two air conditioners and an induction cooktop need at the same time.
Built for 50 amp RV sites, fifth wheels and diesel pushers with a 14-50 inlet, and for the long hookups where the pedestal is metres from the coach. It also suits 14-50 generator outlets and shop receptacles on the same standard. If the site only has a 30 amp pedestal, the 30 amp to 50 amp adapter handles that instead.
On 50 amp hookups look at the neutral. A loose neutral on a 14-50 pedestal puts the two 120V legs at uneven voltage, and appliances feel it before the breaker does. Check the cord end for heat discolouration each time.
The NEMA 14-50R socket is rated 125/250V. Available power still comes from the source: a 50A pedestal supplies 50A, a 14-50 range outlet supplies what its breaker allows.
Common questions about NEMA 14-50P to NEMA 14-50R RV surge adapters
50A at 125/250V, or 12,000W at 240V, split across two 120V legs. That covers two air conditioners, a residential refrigerator and an induction cooktop running together, which is why 50 amp coaches are wired this way.
No. The NEMA 14-50P plug needs the four-wire NEMA 14-50R receptacle found at 50 amp sites. For a 30 amp pedestal with a 50 amp coach, the part is the 30 amp to 50 amp adapter.
It is the same NEMA 14-50 interface used on electric ranges, dryers and EV outlets, four wire with two hots, a neutral and a ground. Availability of power still comes from the supply: an RV pedestal gives 50A, a range outlet gives what its breaker allows.
Not in the current sheet. The six -L models are all in the 30 amp range. If you need an indicator or a covered socket on the 50 amp part, ask for a quotation and we will confirm what can be built and at what quantity.
