This cord has a moulded 16A-rated IS 1293 rated 16A 250V on a 3-wire (live, neutral, earth) cable. The equipment end is supplied with the jacket removed and all conductors stripped, ready to wire into the appliance or terminal block. It is certified to BIS.

The finished cord set is certified to BIS for the target market; test reports and the certificate are available on request, and the cable uses RoHS-, REACH- and PAHS-compliant materials.

Connect live and neutral to the corresponding terminals and the green/yellow conductor to the protective-earth terminal, then secure the strain relief. Ends can be supplied tinned or pre-fitted with terminals.

The 2-wire version has no earth and suits double-insulated Class II appliances; the 3-wire version adds a protective-earth conductor for grounded Class I equipment. Choose the version matching the appliance class and inlet.

IS 1293 is the national standard the cord is manufactured and tested against; it defines the plug dimensions, pin layout and safety requirements for the target market. The certified cord carries the BIS approval and is supplied to that standard.
