The C14 is the 3-pole earthed male appliance inlet rated 10 A at 250 V (up to 15 A at 125 V) and 70 C, mounted on or inline with equipment to receive a C13 cord connector. It is the standard power inlet on desktop computers, monitors, servers, printers, medical and industrial devices, and is also sold as a panel-mount or inline male connector.

The pairing is the reverse in everyday language: the female C13 connector on the cord plugs onto the male C14 inlet on the appliance. Both are part of the same 10 A IEC 60320 coupler pair and cannot be mated with non-matching types such as C5 or C7.
